Job description
Heron Hill Winery on Keuka Lake has been making award-winning wine for 50 years in the Finger Lakes. This is a great opportunity to join this growing and exciting industry and gain experience in the hospitality field!
Position Skills
This is both an educational and hospitality position, applicants must be:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Greet and serve wines for guests by making them feel welcomed by engaging with them.
- Describe wines, wine making techniques, and winery history.
- Take initiative to work independently, as well as the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Sell Heron Hill products to customers with confidence by educating and assisting the customer in making purchasing decisions.
- Promote and sell elevated tasting experiences, Wine Club memberships and special events at the winery.
- Accurately process transactions using a POS computer system.
- Stock and maintain the cleanliness of the tasting room.
- Wash and polish glassware.
- Assist with special events in the Tasting Room.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service skills.
- Accurately handle customer transactions, including cash register and daily accounting.
- Ability to provide quality and proper service of multiple guests or groups at once.
- Must be minimum 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SUMMER THROUGH FALL, ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS, AS REQUIRED.
- Passion for wine and hospitality.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Able to lift cases of wine (40 pounds).
