Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Tasting Room Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences through wine tastings, sales, and general tasting room operations. Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered, with flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide a warm, welcoming tasting room experience
- Lead wine tastings with confidence, sharing knowledge of wines, winemaking, and the Finger Lakes region
- Promote and sell wines, wine club memberships, and merchandise
- Accurately process transactions using POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room and work areas
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Support winery events and special promotions as needed
- Restock inventory and monitor supply levels
Qualifications
- Previous hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred (but not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, and comfortable speaking with groups
- Interest in wine (knowledge is a plus; training provided)
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
