Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages accounts receivable according to established policies and procedures.
- Oversees timely, accurate, and courteous handling of phone calls and payments.
- Drives continuous improvement and innovation in collections processes.
- Diligently logs all phone interactions in the client database for each account.
- Collaborates extensively with various departments to optimize client strategies.
- Acknowledges the uniqueness of each client and adapts handling accordingly.
- Communicates effectively with internal teams about customer accounts to ensure timely follow-ups.
- Reduces delinquency for assigned accounts and resolves customer disputes related to outstanding balances.
- Involves Client Services and senior management as needed to expedite the collections process.
- Ensures prompt resolution of inquiries and concerns and documents all payment transactions with precision.
- Supports the Department by performing additional tasks and duties, including account reconciliations and assisting with month-end close.
- Proactively discusses any accounts receivable issues with management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of high-volume collection experience preferred.
- Basic accounting knowledge is required.
- Experience working in an accounting department for a company with more than 500 employees and multiple business units is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to multitask and adjust to new situations quickly
- have excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
- be highly detail-oriented and have a positive attitude
- be committed to providing excellent customer service.
