Job Summary
We are a Mixed Animal veterinary clinic and we are currently seeking an Experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy and growing veterinary team. The ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, professional and friendly and have a passion for animal care and possess a strong understanding of veterinary practices. This role requires good knowledge and understanding of veterinary terminology, answering phones and scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, and taking payments. Experience with Cornerstone software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Handle client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with professionalism.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage billing processes.
- Assist veterinarians with administrative tasks as needed.
- Provide information to clients regarding pet care, services offered, and treatment options.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or in a similar role is required.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are necessary for success in this role.
