Pay: $22–$26 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, No nights or weekends
Heritage Oaks Golf & Country Club is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. This position supports the daily accounting operations of our private Club and assists with Member billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial recordkeeping. This position works closely with the Controller and Bookkeeper.
This is a great opportunity for someone with accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration experience who enjoys working with numbers and being part of a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
- Process Member payments
- Assist with daily bank deposits
- Assist with monthly Member billing
- Process Club charges including dues, events, and other services
- Assist with delinquent account tracking
Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices and prepare payments
- Maintain vendor records and documentation
- Assist with fixed asset tracking
- Assist with annual 1099 preparation
Member Account Support
- Respond to Member billing questions and account inquiries
- Assist Members with online billing
- Process estoppel forms for home closings and update ownership records
Accounting Support
- Close daily sales journals
- Assist with month-end closing procedures
- Maintain petty cash records
- Support the annual audit process
- Maintain organized financial files and records
- Assist with collections and account follow-ups
- Ensure all Club licenses are kept current.
- Filing
Qualifications:
- Accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience, minimum of two years
- Associate’s degree in accounting, Business, or related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Northstar, Jonas, and accounting software is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
