Position Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental office setting
- Experience in a high-volume environment handling patient scheduling, phone communication, or customer service
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dental practice management software
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver an outstanding patient experience through efficient and courteous service
- Schedule patients accurately and maintain a productive, full schedule for multiple providers
- Collaborate with the Dental Office Manager on daily front office operations
- Confirm appointments and proactively fill cancellations or gaps in the schedule
- Review and maintain the daily schedule to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Explain treatment plans and assist patients in prioritizing and scheduling care
- Verify and interpret dental insurance benefits; educate patients accordingly
- Process pre-authorizations and follow up with patients as needed
- Maintain patient records, including scanning and managing documents in the system
- Collect and update financial, medical, and HIPAA documentation
- Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out procedures
- Answer incoming calls, including new patient inquiries, emergencies, and records requests
- Coordinate closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Perform general front office duties and assist with clinical tasks when needed
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour (based on experience)
