Position Overview
As the Vice President of Sales, you will lead HOEM’s sales organization—including outside sales, inside sales, and customer service—ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving profitable growth. This role is highly focused on sales execution, customer engagement, and performance management, while building a culture of accountability and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Growth: Define and execute sales strategies aligned with HOEM’s objectives; establish value proposition, pricing, and market focus to drive sustainable growth, including initiatives such as identifying and cultivating M&A opportunities.
- Growth with Existing Customers: Expand business within current accounts by strengthening relationships and identifying opportunities for additional products and services, ensuring superior customer experience and margin optimization.
- New Customer Acquisition: Target and engage new customers in related markets; leverage HOEM’s value proposition and proven success to win new business.
- Sales Leadership & Performance Management: Ensure the sales organization is supported to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business objectives; lead performance management through forecasting, funnel oversight, KPI tracking, and commission planning; and develop talent through onboarding, training, and coaching to drive results.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, quality, purchasing, and production teams to ensure we deliver the highest level of service and solutions to our customers; actively contribute to scaling the NA Seals sector by leveraging best practices across companies
- Reporting & Planning: Provide monthly updates for corporate reporting and support annual and long-range planning.
- Travel: Minimum of 50% to engage with field sales teams and customers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or science (or equivalent experience)
- 10 years in senior OEM B2B sales leadership roles
- Results-driven with a proven ability to deliver sustainable success in complex, competitive markets by leading through others
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a high-performance culture, holding teams accountable for results while fostering engagement and development
- Experience transforming sales and marketing organizations to achieve measurable growth
- Strong skills in market research, analysis, and strategic planning
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and performance reporting
