Global law firm located in NYC seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our US Office Business Finance/Accounting team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely and accurate processing of business expense reports for reimbursement to attorneys and staff managed through the Chrome River platform. The ideal candidate has strong accounting skills and work experience in professional services/law firm accounts payable departments. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to a high performing Business Finance team within the global organization
Key Responsibilities
- Review, audit and process attorney and staff expense reports in Chrome River, ensuring compliance with firm policies
- Resolve timely expense report discrepancies and respond to inquiries from attorneys and staff
- Coordinate with Treasury group to ensure accurate coding of client charges, business development and other office expenses.
- Generate electronic expense reimbursements for weekly payment cycles via ACH uploads
- Provide support to client billing coordinators by supplying disbursement documentation upon request
- Communicate professionally with partners and employees regarding payment status and system inquiries
- Track expenses and prepare monthly reports on travel expenses for insurance policy applications.
- Assist with process improvements for accounts payable programs
Qualifications
- College degreed with courses on general accounting principles .
- 3 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Hands-on with experience with Chrome River platforms and demonstrated experience reviewing and auditing high volume of expense reports
- Knowledge of Elite 3 and/or Aderant software, preferred
- Advanced Excel capability and financial systems skills
- Ability to analyze and reconcile expense data review required approvals and flag exceptions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Solid communication skills when working with attorneys and staff, responsive and service-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Compensation
Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience and salary range is $70,000 - $80,000.
