Area of Accountability:
Works as a member of the Materials department to assist in the operation of material handling.

Area of Accountability:
Works as a member of the Materials department to assist in the operation of material handling.
Major Responsibilities
- Loads and unloads trucks with either incoming or outgoing materials. Inventories/counts and moves raw and finished materials from the production floor or storage areas to their intended destination.
- Operates the company truck to move materials to or from plant.
- Unloads steel trucks as they arrive and moves steel to storage areas.
- Operates sit-down lift and high-reach lift trucks as necessary to store or deliver materials.
- Accurately reports daily activities as required.
- Material flow, presentation and replenishment experience preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes such as cycle counting and scrap reporting are preferred.
- Inventories, prepares and packages aftermarket materials for shipment.
- Proficient in using handheld scanner and/or pc to perform inventory transactions.
- Coordinates UPS shipments and receipts.
- Keeps work areas clean and free of hazards.
- Exercises safe work habits
- Maintain a clean safety record for operating all material handling equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Area Leader or Supervisor.
- Must be able to read and write legibly
- Must be able to become forklift certified
- Ability to work overtime, as production demands require
- Ability to function as an effective team member
- Ability to follow operation procedures and assess problems and recommend solutions to resolve problems
- Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions
- Must be able to physically lift 40 lbs.
- Prior forklift experience a plus
