Maintenace Associate- Heat Treat Mechanic 2nd shift

Position Purpose

Responsible for overseeing heat treat operations

Hourly or Salary Range: $21.50 - $30.25

Essential Functions

• Maintain Environmental, Health & Safety standards in the workplace
• Train new operators
• Perform heat treat samples
• Make minor repairs on the heat treat system
• Must be able to troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on the heat-treat system
• Repair and/or make heat treat coils and fixtures
• Run the heat treat if necessary
• Always keep work area clean
• Always work in a safe manner
• Other job duties may be assigned by supervisor
  
  

Education And Training

• High School Diploma or GED
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read blueprints
• Must be able to use measuring equipment
• Must be able to work independently and with others
  
  

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift 25lbs
• Must be able stand continuously for 8 hrs - 12 hours
• Must be able to bend and twist
• Demonstrate dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations
• Ability to work in tight places
• Good hand/eye coordination and good motor skills
  
  

Environmental Conditions

• Ear and Eye protection always required in production areas
• Exposure to noisy work environment
• Exposure to hot steel
• Exposure to fumes
• Exposure to hot and humid conditions
• Exposure to welding arc
• Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water
• Steel toe boots with metatarsal guards always required
