• In this position, you will enjoy teaming up with the CFO and Corporate Controller as you evaluate the processes, systems, and technology resources currently being utilized by the business. Once you have a strong grasp on how things have been handled in years past, you will have the empowerment and opportunity to think critically, build, and reevaluate - helping optimize the accounting department and better position the company for continued future growth.
• Take ownership of your piece of the month-end close process. You will team up alongside two other experienced staff / senior accountants while tackling inventory reconciliations, allocations, general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and plenty of post-close analysis where you will be asked to analyze the financials, draw conclusions, and communicate your findings.
• This business was founded in Council Bluffs; however, over the years, they have gradually and intentionally expanded operations throughout the Midwest. As such, once you have a strong grasp on the company and your responsibilities, you will be given the opportunity to not only play a role in the corporate financial accounting process, but also take complete ownership of the accounting for one or two locations. This means location-specific month-end close and associated reconciliations tied to that location, while working directly with the General Manager to help them understand financial performance, answer questions, and feel like a true business partner. Accounting and operations work great together at this business, and you will have the opportunity to relay financial insights and see firsthand how your contributions are making a difference!
