HEMI Systems is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Mechanical Estimator to bolster our pre-construction team. This a very dynamic role focused on preparing cost estimates, proposals and supporting the rest of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the construction industry and how to efficiently use computers to understand and develop best-in-class pre-construction deliverables. This position will be based out of our Alpharetta, GA, Maysville, GA, and/or Beaumont, TX, office locations. Our business is focused on building projects in the food & beverage, manufacturing, metals, EV, data center, aeronautical, and energy sectors. Experience related to structural, mechanical, and/or piping disciplines is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Complete discipline estimates and work with other pre-construction team members to combine and complete bids and proposals.
- Interact with internal and external SMEs.
- Understand scope of work, project drawings, specifications, 3D models, and other related design documents.
- Quantify the scope of work and related documents into workhours, units, costs.
- Extract related information from industry construction software into usable information.
- Understand and mitigate technical and commercial risks through clarifications, exceptions, etc.
- Participate in constructability reviews.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Constructability resources to develop scopes of work, pricing, and proposals from others.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is preferred but not required
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience within a manufacturing or industrial construction project or estimation setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, estimating software, and industry-specific tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
