The Opportunity:
HEMI Systems is seeking a highly skilled and certified Training Specialist to facilitate critical training programs and help shape the career pathways for the next generation of craft professionals. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of safety, skill, and proficiency on our projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitation & Instruction: Deliver high-impact, hands-on training in NCCER, Millwright, Rigging, and Safety to teams across our Lower Southeast project sites.
- Safety Leadership: Champion our safety culture, ensuring all training emphasizes and enforces OSHA standards and company-specific safety protocols.
- Program Development: Collaborate with the Director of Training to develop, refine, and implement standardized training modules and career progression pathways.
- Mentorship: Act as a mentor and coach, providing guidance and support to apprentices and journeymen to foster their professional growth.
- Facility Training: Lead and support training sessions at our Maysville training facility.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate training effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for program enhancements.
What You Bring (Qualifications & Experience):
- Must-Haves:
- NCCER Certified Instructor certification is required.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on experience in a relevant industrial craft (Millwright, Rigging, etc.).
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
- Proven certification in your respective craft.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50-75% of the time across the Lower Southeast region.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and a passion for mentoring others.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Leadership, Occupational Safety, Education, or a related field.
- Additional professional certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Train-the-Trainer).
- Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
