What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications & Special Projects Director position at Helping Hands Inc?
Summary:
Organize agency fundraisers and special events while increasing public awareness of agency services and activities.
Job Duties (include, but not limited to the following):
- Ability to work independently and lead event committees
- Maintain the visual integrity of the agency's brand
- Provide timely information to the public and stakeholders on agency events and news
- Reviews specification sheets, obtains and prepares bids, and acts as liaison with vendors, sponsors and donors
- Assist with creating marketing materials for major events/fundraisers and distributes materials to solicit donors and community support.
- Able to lead and represent the agency for all events/campaigns/fundraisers/special projects
- Maintain budget for events/campaigns/fundraisers/special projects
- Maintain contacts for event committees and find new members as needed
- Track the effectiveness of Communications Programs, Marketing Campaigns and Events
- Attend workshops and training related to branding, marketing and events
- Maintain relationships with vendors and seek out new partnerships for the agency to create and host successful events
- Attend special events and television appearances for networking to increase public awareness of agency activities, events and services
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary : $40,000 - $45,000
