Elementary Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
- Bachelor's Degree with appropriate license; or
- Master’s Degree with appropriate content area license preferred and/or expected within 5 years
- SEI endorsement through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check (C.O.R.I.) and fingerprint check.
Reports to: Building Principal
Work Year: School Year (184 days)
Salary/Benefits: Consistent with the negotiated educator salary schedule
Performance Responsibilities:
- Design and implement curriculum with well-structured units and lessons.
- Have strong subject-matter knowledge in the core subject areas.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, quizzes, tests, and other assessments, and adapt instruction appropriately.
- Recognize and address the individual needs of students, and differentiate instruction appropriately.
- Provide a safe and collaborative learning environment for all students.
- Engage families and community members as necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues and engage in reflective practice.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with school personnel and students.
- Contribute to an overall school culture where ongoing personal and professional development is valued.
- Collaborate with educators on support plans for students
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with school personnel and students.
- Communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written form.
- Ensure those strategies used support Pentucket’s curriculum goals.
