The E. Ethel Little Elementary School is seeking an Elementary Grade Level Classroom Teacher Long-Term Substitute tentatively from the start of the 2026-2027 school year through November 20, 2026. Grade level is open to K-5 as final 2026-2027 staffing assignments are being made with active staff. Applicants should indicate their preference in a cover letter.
North Reading Public School Educators first contractual day is September 1, 2026. New educators serving as long-term substitutes may be required to attend the two day new staff orientation on dates still to be determined.
Essential duties
- Unit/lesson planning
- Direct instruction of students
- Assessment of student learning
- Be available to conference with parents/guardians and families as needed or requested
- Collaborate with grade level and content teams to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained
- Other duties as requested by the Building Principal and/or Designee
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in Elementary, grades 1-6
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborative working demeanor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
