Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring prompt service
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, upsell specials and wine pairings to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, bussing tables, and maintaining sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements during busy hours
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably within fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Demonstrated ability to handle POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS confidently
- Strong knowledge of food service protocols, food safety practices, and sanitation procedures
- Experience in guest services roles such as host/hostess or server that showcase excellent customer relations skills
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus to better understand food preparation processes
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts
