Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Server to join our vibrant restaurant team! Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to set a positive tone for their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as toast POS, ensuring special requests are noted clearly
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage table settings, clear dishes, and assist with bussing to maintain a clean dining area
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities, using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Proven ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts with multiple tables or tasks
- Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes
