Test Automation and Quality Lead

Role Summary

We are hiring a Test Automation and Quality Lead who can be a leader in driving the transformation from a manual and fragmented testing environment into an automated-first, AI-accelerated model. Role needs to adapt to complex system with mainframe to SaaS back o mainframe solution is in place to deliver improved functionality via microservice enhancements. Key Responsibilities

• Own the automation strategy across UI, API, batch, and mainframe touchpoints; rationalize frameworks and drive adoption.
• Operationalize GenAI in testing: accelerate test authoring, synthetic data generation, defect summarization/triage, and evidence prep with guardrails.
• Reduce manual toil by replacing spreadsheet-driven validation with framework-based automated suites integrated into CI pipelines.
• Mature test data strategy (synthetic masked) and provide visibility into what is testing where, by region/fix version.
• Modernize reporting with Octane/Jira dashboards: coverage, flake index, defect aging, environment occupancy.
• Guide mainframe & batch validation patterns; integrate with end-to-end regression packs.
• Coach manual testers into contributing reliable automation; set standards, templates, and code review practices.
• Define and track KPIs that measurably improve speed and quality.
  
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• 8–12 years in test automation/quality engineering, including leading transformations at enterprise scale.
• Strong automation fundamentals (maintainable frameworks; flake reduction; CI integration).
• Practical experience applying GenAI to testing with validation/guardrails (e.g., synthetic data, test authoring assist, triage).
• Experience building live dashboards from Octane/Jira and pipeline telemetry.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor manual testers into automation contributors.
• Systems thinking and stakeholder leadership in complex, regulated environments.

• Tricentis Tosca (training available; fundamentals outweigh tool trivia).
• Playwright (TypeScript), Cucumber/BDD, and API automation experience.
• Exposure to mainframe automation (3270/HLLAPI/TN3270) and batch validation patterns.
