Program Manager

Heitmeyer Consulting is currently hiring for a Program Manager for a banking client with a focus on a new affinity relationsip. Applicants must have 5 years of Program Management experience, driving enterprise-wide projects to support business needs. They must also have direct banking experience, whether that be from working directly in EPMO or within an aligned business unit Program Management Office (Commercial Banking, Consumer Banking, Digital Banking or Product/Marketing development). Strong written and oral communications are a must as you will be partnering with various internal stakeholders and is someone who is a self starter who isn’t afraid to ask questions and find answers themselves.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Governance

• Own the end-to-end program plan for the new affinity relationship, spanning multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Establish program governance, cadence, and reporting across LOBs, IT, and vendors.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for risks, issues, and decisioning.
  
  
  

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate work across Treasury, Payments, Digital Banking, Marketing, Deposits, Operations, and IT.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives, product roadmaps, and technical delivery.
• Manage interdependencies between projects, platforms, and teams.
  
  
  

Execution Oversight

• Partner with Business Analysts and Project Managers to ensure:
• Clear scope definition
• Sequenced delivery plans
• Realistic timelines and milestones
• Validate that requirements, solutions, and implementations support overall program goals.
  
  

Technology & Vendor Alignment

• Work closely with Technology leadership and vendors (e.g., Finzly) to:
• Align delivery plans with business priorities
• Manage vendor dependencies and timelines
• Ensure platform enhancements support Treasury and Payments strategies
  
  
  

Stakeholder & Executive Communication

• Provide concise, executive-ready program updates to senior leadership.
• Translate complex delivery and technology topics into clear business-level insights.
• Drive alignment and decision-making across senior stakeholders.
  
  
  

Required Skills (Must Haves)

• Senior Program Manager experience within banking or financial services
• Proven experience managing enterprise-wide, cross-LOB programs
• Strong understanding of banking domains such as:
• Treasury Management
• Payments (ACH, Wires)
• Deposits and Digital Banking
• Experience coordinating business, operations, IT, and vendor teams
• Strong governance, risk management, and executive communication skills
• Ability to manage ambiguity and evolving scope in growth-focused initiatives
  
  

Nice to Have Skills

• Direct experience supporting:
• Affinity or partnership-driven banking programs
• Customer acquisition or expansion initiatives
• Familiarity with Finzly or similar Treasury Management / Payments platforms
• Background working with:
• Marketing teams on growth initiatives
• Digital banking platform enhancements
• Prior experience at a regional or super-regional bank
