What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst – Treasury position at Heitmeyer Consulting?
Heitmeyer Consulting is currently hiring for a Banking Business Analyst for a banking client with a focus on a new affinity relationsip. Applicants must have 3 years of business analyst experience, eliciting and writing requirements, mapping processes and creating user stories. They must also have direct banking experience, whether that be from working directly in Commercial Banking, Digital Banking or Product/Marketing development or being in a position that supports those lines of business. Strong written and oral communications are a must as you will be partnering with various internal stakeholders and is someone who is a self starter who isn’t afraid to ask questions and find answers themselves.

- Banking Business Analyst experience (commercial banking strongly preferred)
- Solid background eliciting and developing requirements, mapping processes, and creating user stories.
- Must have done BA work within banking – solid experience understanding functions that may include treasury management, digital banking, deposit products, marketing.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements in a bank
- Ability to translate Treasury and Payments needs into platform requirements
- Strong stakeholder collaboration across Operations, IT, and Product teams
- Treasury Management expertise, including:
- ACH
- Wires
- Account Analysis
- Experience with Payments / PC (Payments & Cash) platforms
- Hands-on experience with Finzly (strong plus)
- Digital and online banking project exposure
- Deposit product knowledge
- Marketing alignment or experience supporting acquisition or affinity programs
- Prior work supporting affinity or partnership-driven banking initiatives
- Lead requirements gathering efforts through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process reviews.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable documentation, including:
- Business requirements
- Functional requirements
- Process flows
- Use cases and user stories (as applicable)
- Ensure requirements are accurately communicated to Technology and vendor partners, including vendors and internal IT teams.
- Support solution design by validating that proposed technical solutions meet business needs.
- Maintain traceability from business requirements through testing and implementation.
