Position Summary
As a Direct Care Professional (Direct Support Professional), you will provide hands-on care and support to male and female residents, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and individual goals. You will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment while supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Pay Rates & Available Shifts
1st shift (7a-3:30p). The base pay is $19.75 per hour, with an additional $2.00/hour weekend shift differential.
2nd shift (3p-11:30p). The base pay is $19.75 per hour, with an additional $2.00/hour shift differential and $2.00/hour weekend shift differential.
3rd shift (11p-7:30a). The base pay is $19.75 per hour, with an additional $1.00/hour shift differential and $2.00/hour weekend shift differential.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide direct care and supervision to residents in a residential healthcare setting
- Assist with personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, and daily living activities
- Support residents in achieving individual goals and fostering independence
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment
- Follow care plans, policies, and procedures
- Build positive, trusting relationships with residents and team members
- Uphold confidentiality and dignity at all times
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to push residents weighing up to 200 pounds in wheelchairs
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to speak, hear, and remain alert and awake for the entire shift
- CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided if needed)
- Previous experience preferred but not required
