Job Title: Quality Control Manager
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager in the Steel industry. To be successful, you must be AWS certified CWI and have a proven track record of experience with AISC Audits.
You will coordinate with 3rd party inspectors to perform dimensional and visual inspections for shop fabrication, review structural drawings, and create/track in-process non-conformance reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage quality control processes for structural steel fabrication and erection projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Work closely with 3rd party inspectors to schedule and conduct inspections, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Perform detailed dimensional and visual inspections for shop fabrication to confirm accuracy and quality.
- Review and interpret structural drawings to ensure fabrication and erection align with project requirements.
- Create, document, and track in-process non-conformance reports, including identifying corrective actions.
- Ensure all work complies with AWS certification standards and other applicable guidelines.
- Maintain thorough records of inspections, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions taken.
Collaboration with Project Teams:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and shop teams to address and resolve quality issues.
