Payroll Manager

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year

Job description:

We are looking for a strong Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both payroll and accounting responsibilities and has experience working in a construction environment, although construction background is not mandatory.

We are looking for someone who can handle high-volume payroll while also supporting accounting, tax reporting, and compliance functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume weekly payroll
• Handle Davis-Bacon and Certified Payroll reporting
• Review timecards, job costing, and labor allocations
• Maintain payroll records and employee documentation
• Assist with payroll tax reporting and filings
• Support accounts payable and general accounting functions
• Assist with reconciliations and month-end processes
• Work closely with project managers and field employees regarding payroll and job cost questions
• Ensure payroll compliance and accuracy
• Assist with additional accounting and office functions as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong payroll experience required
• Experience with high-volume payroll processing
• Davis-Bacon and Certified Payroll experience strongly preferred
• Accounting, bookkeeping, or tax experience required
• Construction industry experience preferred
• Understanding of payroll taxes and compliance
• Experience with reconciliations and accounting processes
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Professional communication skills
