Heartland AEA is seeking a dedicated Teacher Associate to join our team for the 2026–27 school year.

Description:

The Teacher Associate position will be in our HEART Therapeutic Classroom Program.  This position will provide support services to children/youth in the therapeutic classrooms located within the Winterset Community Schools, under the direction of a licensed teacher. The teacher associate will be a member of a multidisciplinary team that collaborates to support the design, implementation, and decision-making regarding therapeutic classroom supports.

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants for this position will need to have two years of post-secondary education or paraeducator certification. Prefer candidates with a post-secondary degree in education and/or social services as well as demonstrated successful experience working with children/youth who are experiencing significant social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
