Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health
2nd shift (2:45pm-11:15pm)
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care, conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate has behavioral health experience and a passion for supporting individuals with complex psychiatric needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including admission and discharge assessments.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate medication and clinical records.
- Monitor controlled substances and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on treatment planning and patient care.
- Manage assigned caseloads and participate in individual, group, and family therapy as appropriate.
- Assist with crisis intervention and home visits as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support continuity of care.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of Registered Nurse experience; a BSN may substitute for 1 year of experience.
- Current Connecticut RN license or qualifying multistate license.
- Strong assessment, medication management, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a behavioral health hospital setting.
- Experience working with youth with complex psychiatric needs.
Working Conditions
May require lifting or restraining individuals and working with patients exhibiting challenging behaviors. Exposure to infectious diseases may occur.
Salary : $50 - $55
