Staff Pharmacist – 2nd Shift
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
Schedule: Rotating schedule every 2 weeks; must be available 7 days/week
Weekend: Every other weekend, either Saturday & Sunday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
Holidays: 2 holidays per year
Shift Differential: $2.50/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide safe, accurate, and patient-focused pharmacy services. The Pharmacist will dispense medications, counsel patients, oversee pharmacy staff, maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Review, prepare, dispense, and counsel patients on prescription and non-prescription medications
- Monitor medication compliance, overuse patterns, drug interactions, and potential drug-related problems
- Ensure medications are appropriate, safely stored, and dispensed in accordance with applicable laws
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient and pharmacy records
- Provide guidance on dosage, side effects, storage, and proper medication use
- Provide patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management
- Educate patients on proper use of medical devices, including glucose meters and blood pressure monitors
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, interns, and other pharmacy staff
- Maintain appropriate inventory of medications and medical supplies
- Communicate drug-related concerns with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers
- Collaborate with pharmacists, interns, nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
- Current state pharmacy license required
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications, drug interactions, and pharmacy practices
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including every other weekend and 2 holidays per year
Compensation
- 2nd Shift Differential: $2.50/hour
- Overtime: 1.5× applicable average straight-time rate
- Double Time: 2× applicable average straight-time rate
Salary : $63 - $67
