Job Summary
The Certified Medical Technician (CMT) plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. The CMT is responsible for supporting patients with daily activities and administering medications. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for patients, particularly those with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other related conditions.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Perform vital sign checks and document findings accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) or electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Document and maintain accurate medical records.
- Engage with patients to provide emotional support and companionship.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance caregiving skills.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Nursing home experience preferred but not required.
- Must have active CMT license.
