Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various vehicle systems using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drive systems, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and wheel alignments to optimize handling and safety.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and automotive electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other complex vehicle systems with precision.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and understanding vehicle electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures across various models, including GM vehicles if possible.
- Skilled in vehicle transmission system repair, powertrain diagnostics, and vehicle suspension system repair.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology integration and calibration processes.
- Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with auto estimating software for service documentation and parts ordering.
- Strong knowledge of automotive service standards, welding techniques, and maintenance best practices.
- Excellent technical proficiency combined with a customer-focused approach that emphasizes quality workmanship.
