What are the responsibilities and job description for the Time of Service Specialist position at Heart and Vascular Care Inc?
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Time of Service Specialist to join our growing billing team!

Monday-Friday, 8AM - 5PM, no nights or weekends
Prior experience in a medical/collections/customer service setting is preferred.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Review each scheduled service to confirm that all information related to patient insurance is correct and verified prior to patient arrival.
- Maintain five business days ahead of scheduled services to ensure timely review of the necessary information and make any necessary corrections.
- Review benefit information to calculate estimated amounts due for all provider services and exercise stress tests.
- Document the patient responsibility amount due details in the patient appointment.
- Provide estimates and/or call patients to inform them of benefit determination and patient responsibility.
- Assist, document, and/or escalate payment plans inquiries and needs for patients, and discuss terms and conditions as appropriate and as needed.
- Ensure the correct insurance package, network participation, referrals, and insurance requirements for appointment are obtained.
- Inform patients of outstanding balance and/or escalate to patient account specialist.
