Certified Medical Assistant (Float)

Brief Description

The Certified Medical Assistant (Float) provides essential support to healthcare providers by carrying out both clinical and front-office responsibilities, ensuring seamless patient care and effective operational workflow. This position requires travel between multiple HealthyU clinics. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain accurate patient records and update EHR systems
• Support front-office functions, including patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and referrals as necessary
• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and minor procedures
• Prepare and sanitize examination rooms, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
• Collect and document patient history and vital signs accurately
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors
• Provide patient education and post-visit instructions
• Maintain and restock office and medical supplies as necessary
• All other duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements

• Medical Assistant Certification required
• A minimum of 2 year experience as a medical assistant
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, EHR systems)
• Athena experience highly preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Prolonged standing, bending, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)
