Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care in the operating room, including patient preparation, positioning, and sterile technique
- Assist the surgical team with instrumentation, equipment setup, and instrument counts to maintain patient safety
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively and provide support to anesthesia providers as needed
- Document perioperative care, vitals, and intraoperative events; aid in efficient turnover between cases
- Participate in on-call coverage as required and ensure readiness for emergency situations
- Prepare and assess patients for immediate postoperative recovery and communicate pertinent information to the recovery team
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Hawaii or eligibility to obtain
- OR nursing experience or perioperative nursing background
- Ability to work 4x10 hour evening shifts with on-call responsibilities
- Capable of functioning effectively in a hospital-based OR environment
