Registered Nurse - Med Surg Tele (Cardiac unit) in Rochester, New York. This travel, temporary assignment starts on 08/17/2026 for Weeks, with a weekly pay range of $1,886 to $1,972. The shift is 4x12 hours and the setting is a hospital-based unit. You’ll work in a 19-bed MS/Telemetry environment focused on adult and geriatric patients, with orientation of 16 hours. NY RN license must be in hand to submit. EPIC charting is required or strongly preferred. First-time travelers accepted. Unit supports include IV teams, Respiratory, PT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Transportation, Unit Secretary, and Rapid Response Team. Floating within scope to like units is expected.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and care for adults and geriatrics on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (Cardiac) track, including dysrhythmia identification and management
- Interpret and respond to cardiac rhythms; participate in rapid response and code events as needed
- Establish and maintain IV access; perform peripheral line care and routine phlebotomy
- Deliver oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway support; implement isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Administer medications and document care in the Epic charting system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (Respiratory, PT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Unit Secretary, RN peers) to coordinate patient care
- Complete charting timely and accurately; ensure patient safety and adherence to unit protocols
- Provide patient and family education appropriate to cardiac diagnoses and telemetry monitoring

Requirements
- Active NY Registered Nurse license in hand to submit
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification (per job notes)
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience
- EPIC charting experience required or strongly preferred
- MS/Telemetry competency with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Ability to work nights, with floating within scope to similar units
- First-time travelers accepted
- RTO restriction: no more than 1 week allowed
- Candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Education: RN credential meeting state requirements
