Responsibilities
- Provide direct, pro‑active nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, including ongoing assessment and monitoring.
- Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and advanced treatments per physician orders.
- Document care plans, progress notes, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to formulate and update individualized care plans and discharge planning.
- Ensure patient safety through adherence to protocols, infection control, and patient education on treatments and self-care.
- Respond to changes in patient condition, initiate appropriate interventions, and facilitate timely escalation when needed.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- CPR/BLS certification required (CPR or Basic Life Support options allowed per the job notes)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Acute care/Med Surg experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, travel assignment, with the ability to work 3x12-hour shifts per week
