Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; develop and revise care plans to achieve expected outcomes
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with interdisciplinary team
- Educate patients and families; provide health information and participate in discharge planning to ensure safe transition of care
- Document care and maintain accurate, timely communication across shifts; collaborate with treating team to promote a safe, healing environment
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- At least two years of recent acute care experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; CPR certification may be required per policy
- EPIC and Cerner EMR experience preferred for backfill assignments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care setting and participate in a 7:00 AM–7:00 PM day shift schedule
