Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D), Travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii, US. Start date 06/08/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,743 to $1,860 per week. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients, support delivery, and perform immediate newborn care and postpartum recovery for the mother.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, including external fetal monitoring, interpret tracings, and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and analgesia per protocol; assist with delivery and management of the third stage; support breastfeeding and newborn stabilization.
- Document care in the computerized system (Meditech), maintain accurate flow sheets, and coordinate care with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and the broader care team.
- Promote patient safety and infection control; provide education to moms and families about newborn care, postpartum recovery, and discharge planning.
- Ensure unit readiness and participate in routine drills and quality improvement activities as assigned.

Requirements
- Hawaii RN license active by start date (candidates not currently in HI must apply upon acceptance and obtain Hawaii licensure by start).
- Certifications: BLS and NRP required; STABLE and Advanced Fetal Monitoring recommended.
- Experience: minimum 3 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
- Skills: ability to work in an inpatient L&D unit; proficient with a computerized charting system and fetal monitoring equipment (GE/Centricity); strong assessment and teamwork skills.
