Responsibilities
- Triage patients in the ER, identify medical issues, determine severity, and initiate appropriate interventions to stabilize or escalate care as needed.
- Monitor patient status, perform rapid assessments, document histories, vitals, labs, treatments, and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Provide immediate stabilization and life-saving interventions; administer medications and perform procedures within the ER scope.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to coordinate care and communicate changes promptly.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, educate patients and families, and complete accurate documentation for each encounter.
Requirements
- Oklahoma State RN license or compact license to practice in Oklahoma.
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NIHSS; TNCC preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years ER experience; recent traveler experience preferred.
- Profiles and references: Work History and Skills Checklist current within 1 year; two Supervisory Reference Forms within the last two years.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in a 13-week travel assignment.
