Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED, including triage based on history, assessment, and chief complaint
- Administer prescribed medications, intravenous fluids, blood products, and ongoing therapies
- Monitor and operate ED equipment and devices; respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and safe patient care
- Initiate patient education and discharge planning as prescribed by a physician
- Document care concisely and accurately; maintain HIPAA compliance and professional standards
Requirements
- Current RN license in Nebraska or multi-state licensure in a Nurse Licensure Compact state
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Minimum two (2) years of professional nursing experience; at least one (1) year in an Emergency Department preferred
- Ability to work nights in a high-demand ED setting; normal to heavy physical demands including lifting up to 20–50 lbs; ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods
- English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
