Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of MRI examinations on Siemens Espree 1.5T large-bore system, including brain, spine, abdomen, pelvis, breast, orbits, and head/neck studies; utilize surface coils and appropriate imaging sequences (MRA/MRV, diffusion, MRCP, MIP, MPR, spin echo, T1/T2) to meet protocol requirements.
- Administer contrast media when indicated, establish peripheral IV access, monitor and respond to contrast-related reactions, and coordinate with the BRACCO power injector for injection protocols.
- Ensure high-quality images and patient safety through proper positioning, isolation precautions, and adherence to department protocols; maintain sterile technique and room setup for each exam.
- Document exams and patient data in the EPIC charting system; communicate findings with radiologists and other care team members; support accurate scheduling and workflow within the MRI suite.
- Adapt to floating requirements within the radiology department as needed; collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Pharmacy, Social Work, Transport, Interpretation services, and other units to support patient care.
- Complete onboarding modules and maintain compliance with department policies, safety standards, and isolation protocols; assist with ongoing education as requested.

Requirements
- License: New York state license in hand to submit
- Experience: Minimum 2 years MRI experience required
- Certifications: BLS certification required
- Charting: EPIC charting experience required
- Skills: Proficiency with Siemens Espree 1.5T, contrast administration, IV starts, and advanced MRI sequences (brain, spine, abdomen, pelvis, breast, orbits)
- Eligibility: Ability to float to other areas within radiology as needed; pre-start onboarding modules completion may be required (up to 5 hours billable)
- Compliance: Distance/local rule—candidates within approximately 75 miles of the facility are not accepted; vaccination: COVID-19 not required (flu vaccine status unknown)
- Scheduling: Able to work 3 × 12-hour shifts (days) and comply with pre-start and orientation requirements
