Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT scans according to physician orders, following ALARA principles and safety protocols.
- Position patients, select appropriate protocols, adjust scanning parameters, and acquire high-quality images.
- Operate CT equipment, monitor patient condition, and assist with contrast administration as required.
- Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and quality control procedures; document procedures and results.
- Collaborate with radiologists and radiology team to ensure accurate and timely imaging for interpretation.
- Prioritize patient care, communicate clearly with patients and staff, and manage workflow to support department efficiency.
Requirements
- Active New York State radiologic technologist license (R.T.) or equivalent
- ARRT CT Certification/CT registry is REQUIRED
- CT imaging experience: 1 year
- Ability to work night shift on Thursdays (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) in a hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of CT quality control procedures, safety practices, and patient positioning
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
