Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation, applying CT and XR techniques as assigned.
- Exercise professional judgment and maintain radiation protection principles to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Operate radiology and CT equipment, obtain high-quality diagnostic images, and adjust techniques as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging files; document procedures and outcomes.
- Participate in the department quality assurance program and pursue ongoing continuing education.
- Transfer patients to and from radiology; assist with patient positioning and mobility as required.
- Rotate shifts as needed; respond to call requirements and report to work within 20 minutes.
- Adhere to department policies and procedures; contribute to department hygiene and organization.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; completion of a CT/XR training program.
- Certifications: Current ARRT certification in Radiography; ARRT CT certification; Minimum 1 year CT/XR experience.
- Licensure: ARRT certifications satisfy procedural credentialing; state licensure requirements are not specified here.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year CT/XR experience.
- Ability to work in a hospital setting; able to participate in a travel assignment; capable of on-call responsibilities and rapid response.
