Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures using the GE EVO CT Unit, following appropriate protocols.
- Position patients, select imaging parameters, and ensure high image quality while maintaining radiation safety (ALARA).
- Prepare for exams, including IV access and contrast administration as ordered; monitor for adverse reactions.
- Review orders, verify patient information, and communicate with radiologists and the radiology team to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Maintain patient safety, protect privacy, and document exam details; perform basic QA and room turnover as needed.
Requirements
- California Radiologic Technologist license (RT) required
- ARRT credential with CT endorsement required (R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T.(R)(ARRT) as specified)
- Minimum 2 years CT imaging experience in the submitted unit within the last 3 months
- Experience with GE EVO CT Unit required
- BLS certification required
- Education: Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred; Advanced CT certification preferred; Fluoroscopy license and Venipuncture certification preferred
