Responsibilities
- Operate Siemens CT scanners to acquire diagnostic images for ED/inpatient CT studies, including trauma and vascular CTA, as well as biopsies, myelography, drainages, and transplant studies.
- Administer contrast agents, establish peripheral IV access, monitor patient status, and ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Perform CT imaging with/without contrast for abdomen/pelvis/chest/head, including specialty protocols and multi-phase studies as indicated.
- Utilize PACS for image management; produce multiplanar reconstructions and collaborate with radiologists to generate accurate reads; document procedures in EPIC.
- Maintain equipment, verify routine quality control, adhere to radiation safety practices, and uphold patient privacy and data integrity.
- Coordinate with a two-technologist shift team; may infrequently work full or partial shift alone as needed.
Requirements
- ARRT (R) and ARRT CT or ARRT Advanced; BLS required
- Siemens CT experience is mandatory (hard stop)
- Minimum 2 years CT technologist experience; first-timers accepted
- EPIC charting experience
- Ability to work nights and meet shift schedule (Fri–Sun 18:30–07:00)
- Licensure: Missouri and/or Illinois requirements per state rules; compact license rules apply and must match permanent residence where applicable; local candidates within 75 miles are typically not considered (exceptions limited)
- Operational capability to work in an acute care hospital setting with adherence to facility policies
