Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff and physician during endoscopic procedures, supporting the needs of the procedure (e.g., polypectomy, biopsies, screening exams, ERCP, dilations)
- Disinfect and process endoscopic equipment; assist with troubleshooting of equipment
- Set up the procedure room and transport patients as needed
- Stock rooms with supplies and equipment; assist patients with dressing and ambulation as directed by nursing staff
- Apply EKG monitors, BP cuff, and pulse oximetry prior to case start
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- BLS through the American Heart Association
- Registered with Colorado DORA as a Surgical Tech
- Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associates Program and/or Advanced Associates Program
- Current IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Certification
- 2 years endoscopy experience; advanced case endoscopy experience
- Ability to work in a hospital setting
