Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnosis
- Perform CT imaging and other modalities as needed, including general radiography and fluoroscopy
- Adhere to radiation safety practices and ALARA principles to protect patients and staff
- Prepare and position patients, monitor during procedures, and communicate results to radiologists
- Ensure high-quality images, proper labeling, and accurate documentation in the patient record
- Perform routine equipment checks, basic maintenance, and participate in department quality improvement activities
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist licensure and CT certification or state-based eligibility as applicable
- ARRT CT certification or eligible per industry standards
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts in a fast-paced imaging environment
- Effective communication skills and teamwork in a patient-care setting
- Willingness to participate in travel assignment requirements and protocols
