Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, ensuring all instrumentation, supplies, and sterile equipment are ready for procedures
• Pass sterile instruments to the surgeon and surgical team; anticipate instrument needs to support efficiency
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures; manage instrument counts (sponges, sharps, needles) per policy
• Assist with patient positioning and draping; handle specimens as directed by the surgical team
• Manage and troubleshoot equipment as needed; support anesthesia and circulator to maintain safety and flow
• Communicate clearly with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and circulating staff to support patient care and procedural efficiency
  
  

Requirements

• Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or eligible for CST certification
• Travel experience: prior travel assignment experience required
• Trauma experience: Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Burn experience: preferred
• Work readiness: ability to function in a fast-paced OR environment; capable of day shift with on-call, weekends, and holidays
