This travel assignment involves providing diagnostic and clinical speech-language pathology services for inpatients and outpatients across age groups from infant to geriatric. Services support individuals with speech and language disorders, cognitive deficits, voice and fluency concerns, and swallowing difficulties, delivered within a multidisciplinary team approach and across inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation pathways.

  • Floating: clinician may be required to float between inpatient and outpatient rehab as needed

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology assessments for patients across age ranges, including infants, children, adults, and the elderly
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing communication disorders, cognitive deficits, voice/fluency issues, and swallowing (dysphagia)
  • Provide therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
  • Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge planning in a timely and accurate manner
  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, goals, treatment strategies, and home practice
  • Adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and setting needs; participate in patient flow between inpatient and outpatient services as required

Requirements

  • Active Oklahoma state license as a certified Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility for licensure
  • Certifications: NIH, BLS (AHA); ACLS (AHA) preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience
  • Experience with neurogenic communication disorders and dysphagia is preferred
  • Ability to work across inpatient and outpatient rehab settings; open to floating between settings as needed
  • Submission materials include current work history (within last year), skills checklist, and two supervisory reference forms within the last two years
