Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations and screenings for residents, addressing communication and swallowing needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans; deliver direct therapy for dysphagia, aphasia, apraxia, cognitive-communication, and related disorders
• Monitor resident progress, adjust goals as needed, and document outcomes in the resident’s medical record
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, dietary, OT/PT, social work) to support resident care and discharge planning
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations governing speech-language pathology services
• Provide education to residents, families, and caregivers regarding communication strategies and swallowing safety when appropriate
  
  

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts license to practice Speech-Language Pathology
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent)
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to work in a long-term care / nursing home environment
• Experience with adult populations and/or geriatric care is preferred
