Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the operating room under the supervision of the Unit Director, following Maine Board of Nursing standards and hospital policies
• Assist with intraoperative instrumentation and sterile technique; support anesthesia team as directed
• Monitor patient status during procedures, manage equipment counts, and document intraoperative events
• Ensure patient safety, proper positioning, and preparation of the OR for each case; collaborate with the surgical team and charge nurse
• Communicate with patients and families as appropriate; participate in safe handoffs to postoperative recovery
• May assist the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse with shift supervision and workload coordination
  
  

Requirements

• Active Maine RN license
• BLS and ACLS required within 30 days of hire
• COVID-19 vaccination required (per state mandate)
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Ability to work in a hospital OR environment; strong teamwork and communication skills; flexible and able to multitask
