Responsibilities

• Perform general ultrasound exams across adult and pediatric patients, including small parts, vascular studies (lower and upper extremity venous), and OB/GYN fetal surveys (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters); pediatric imaging includes hips, spine, head, pylorus, and suspected intussusception
• Conduct inpatient and outpatient imaging studies within the Radiology department; document findings, ensure exam quality, and participate in department tasks
• Use the electronic medical record (preferably EPIC) for orders, image storage, and reporting; communicate with radiologists and referring clinicians to ensure accurate diagnosis
• Float to affiliated imaging sites within the assignment region as needed; adapt to varying patient volumes and workflows while adhering to safety, infection control, and patient privacy standards
• Maintain equipment readiness, follow exam protocols, and participate in ongoing performance improvement and quality assurance activities
  
  

Requirements

• Current ARDMS RDMS certification required at submission
• American Heart Association BLS certification required at submission
• Minimum 3 years of ultrasound experience in the specified specialty
• Proficiency in general ultrasound, small parts, vascular (lower/upper extremity venous), OB/GYN (fetal survey across all trimesters), and pediatric imaging (hips, spine, head, pylorus, intussusception)
• Experience performing both inpatient and outpatient ultrasound exams; ability to float to multiple sites and work night shifts
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital imaging environment; valid driver’s license; EPIC EMR experience preferred
