Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient outcomes and implement changes to the plan of care within the multidisciplinary team
• Provide explanations and instructions regarding respiratory disease processes, interventions, and discharge to patients and/or responsible persons; confirm understanding
• Accept reassignment to other units when necessary to support patient care needs
• Share clinical knowledge with staff and students; serve as a clinical practice role model
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care; deliver respiratory therapies as ordered by the physician, maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff
  
  

Requirements

• Active Illinois Respiratory Therapist license (RRT)
• BLS certification
• NRP-MHC certification
• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy (or equivalent)
• Ability to work nights in a hospital setting
• Eligible for a travel - temporary assignment
